Privacy,
plainly stated.

This policy explains what personal information Heavenly Events may receive, why it is needed, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: August 8, 2026

01

Scope and accountability

This policy applies to personal information handled by Heavenly Events through this website, email correspondence, rental requests, event inquiries, quotes and related client communications.

Heavenly Events is responsible for personal information under its control. Abigail Haileab is the person responsible for the protection of personal information and can be reached using the contact details at the end of this policy.

02

Information we may receive

Depending on how you contact us, we may receive:

  • Your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Your event date, venue, city or other location details.
  • The type of event and the planning, coordination or rental services that interest you.
  • Rental selections, requested quantities, preferences, notes and other details you choose to include.
  • Messages, correspondence, quote details and records connected with an inquiry or engagement.
  • Limited technical information generated by hosting and security systems, such as an IP address, browser type, device type, request time and pages requested.
How the temporary rental form works

Your rental selections and contact details are assembled in your browser. They are not submitted to a Heavenly Events database. When you choose “Open email,” your device passes the prepared message to your email application. The message is shared with us only when you send it.

03

Why we use personal information

We use personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, including to:

  • Respond to questions and start a conversation about an event.
  • Confirm availability, prepare quotes and discuss services or rentals.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver agreed event services.
  • Arrange rental quantities, pickup, delivery, return or related logistics.
  • Maintain business, contractual and financial records.
  • Protect the website, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use inquiry details for unrelated advertising or add someone to a marketing list merely because they requested information.

04

Consent and your choices

We collect, use and disclose personal information with consent, except where the law permits or requires otherwise. Consent may be express, such as when you send an email or approve a service, or implied where that is reasonable and legally permitted.

You may decline to provide optional information. You may also withdraw consent for future use by contacting the privacy officer, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to answer an inquiry or provide requested services.

05

Service providers, disclosure and location

We may use service providers for website hosting, security, email, document storage and business administration. They receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their role and are expected to protect it.

Some providers may process or store information outside Ontario, Quebec or Canada. Information handled in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws and lawful access procedures of that jurisdiction.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction where appropriate safeguards apply. We do not otherwise disclose personal information to third parties without consent.

06

Retention and safeguards

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for a related legitimate business purpose, or to meet legal, accounting or contractual requirements. When information is no longer required, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized as appropriate.

Safeguards are selected according to the sensitivity and amount of information involved. They may include access restrictions, secure accounts, device protections, service-provider controls and careful handling practices. No online or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, but reasonable measures are used to reduce risk.

07

Cookies and website measurement

Some pages offer optional HubSpot analytics. Those analytics load only after a visitor accepts the on-page consent request. The hosting platform may also generate limited technical logs needed to deliver and protect the site.

08

Access, correction and complaints

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, or ask for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected. You may also ask a question, withdraw consent where applicable, or make a complaint about our handling of personal information.

Requests should be made in writing. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may withhold information where an exception under applicable law permits or requires it. We will explain any refusal that the law requires us to explain.

If a concern is not resolved directly, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec where Quebec law applies, or another regulator with jurisdiction over the matter.

09

Children’s information

The website and services are intended for people arranging events, not for children. We do not knowingly seek personal information directly from children through this website.

10

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website, services or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page and will show its latest revision date. Material changes will be communicated where required.
